Personal, Social, Health and Economic education (PSHE), including Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), helps children understand themselves, care for others and make safe, healthy choices. We want pupils to recognise and manage their feelings, make and keep good friendships, value difference, look after their physical and mental health, and understand their rights, their responsibilities and money.

Our curriculum is organised into three themes: Relationships, Health and Wellbeing, and Living in the Wider World. Every year group studies the same theme each half-term, and each theme returns later in the year, so pupils revisit it with more depth as they move through the school. RSE sits within these themes. Alongside them, every class from Reception to Year 6 follows the PATHS programme, which builds pupils' understanding of feelings, self-control, friendship and problem solving, and PSHE is also supported by Zones of Regulation.
