Recent decades have seen large increases in the proportion of young people with emotional and behavioural issues. Mental health problems are increasingly prevalent, with rising numbers of children experiencing such issues each year. These problems affect other areas of a child’s life and also increase the likelihood of mental health difficulties later on in adult life.
At Westbridge Academy, we understand that we have an essential role in creating a culture of positive wellbeing, in which children develop the tools for good emotional health. A sharp focus on our Academy values, whilst promoting positive emotional health and well-being through our curriculum will improve outcomes for our school community and help us in our quest to do ‘our bit’ to make the world a happier place!
We use the Action for Happiness calendars to reflect on actions that help us increase our happiness and bring more happiness to others too.
